Captain
Are you passionate about piloting boats? Do you like being in contact with customers? Then Batorama has a job for you!
As a captain, you will transport passengers on the day cruisers in our fleet. You will be responsible for the boat, its crew and our customers. You will make their comfort and safety your priority. You will prevent and diagnose maintenance problems and provide support to technical teams when boats are being serviced.
- You must have a navigation certificate (B permit), as you will ensure that passengers are transported in port basins or on tourist routes in the best possible conditions.
- Ideally, you have Attestation Spéciale Passagers (ASP, special passenger transport) certification, or you are a certified navigation expert; you also have a workplace first-aid certificate.
- Fluency in several foreign languages would be a plus, given that we welcome passengers with a wide variety of origins.
- Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical skills may be useful for preventing and diagnosing maintenance problems.
- You have a natural gift for quality of service and customer relations.

Deckhand

As the second crew member, under the authority of the captain, you will play a key role in passenger relations. You will be responsible for:
- Providing passengers with information and guiding them around the boat
- Welcoming them on-board our boats
- Checking tickets
- Ensuring the availability of audio equipment and, in the event of rain, distributing ponchos.
You will be our visitors’ primary point of contact, making sure their boat tour takes places under the best possible conditions.
As a deckhand, you will be responsible for mooring and unmooring operations at the jetty and when going through locks. You will also take part in cleaning, servicing and maintenance activities in support of the technical department. You will inform the captain of any situations requiring their intervention.
With excellent customer relations skills, the deckhand ideally speaks several languages, has good command of safety procedures and knows how to enforce them. Ideally, you have Attestation Spéciale Passagers (ASP, special passenger transport) certification, or you are a certified navigation expert; you also have a workplace first-aid certificate.
