Audiophone hire
Located just 25 metres from Strasbourg Cathedral, BATORAMA provides you with a simple solution to equip your groups with comfortable, high-performance, easy-to-use audiophones for all your visits in Alsace and Strasbourg in particular. When you hire audiophones, you save time while using a service that respects the places you’re visiting.
Audiophones for guided tours are electronic systems consisting of a transmitter (used by the guide) and receivers provided to visitors. The guide speaks softly into a lapel microphone and their words are broadcast via a single earpiece. In this way, they don’t have to strain their voice. The sound level is contained within the public space. Visitors have one ear free to perceive surrounding sounds.
> Booking your audiophones
- First, you choose the date on which you’d like to use the audiophones
- Then, you select a pick-up time at our shop at 18 place de la Cathédrale (between 10 am and 5 pm)
- You’ll be asked to choose the number of transmitters. The transmitter is the device worn by the guide, who will be fitted with a microphone. In general, there is one guide and therefore one transmitter for every 30 visitors. If your group includes people who speak several languages and you’re interested in having one guide per language, you’ll choose as many transmitters as you have guides.
- Lastly, you choose the duration: from one hour to four days
PLEASE NOTE: for boat tours, our own audio system broadcasts commentary, so you don’t need to hire audiophones.
